Adam Martin, a senior member of the George Mason High School FIRST robotics team, has been working with the DDIS team to construct computer models of the camera payloads and other critical system components. This work will allow for future computer aided research and development, allowing the team to digitally simulate design changes without the downtime that comes from physically updating and testing the system. It also allows for rapid CNC manufacturing of replacement payload components, or even full replacement payloads. This is also another step in DDIS protecting its proprietary camera payload technology.
We’re glad to have Adam, and are looking forward to the new possibilities that his work is opening up for us.
